Mints¨Üare aromatic, almost exclusively perennial¨Üherbs. They have wide-spreading underground and overground stolons and erect, square, branched stems. The¨Üleaves¨Üare arranged in opposite pairs, from oblong to lanceolate, often downy, and with a serrated margin.
